Download Adobe Flash Player Mac Os X 10.6.8

Flash player seems to be missing in Mac, Mavericks - fifty-fifty after it is installed successfully.

Firstly, I am running a current OS Mavericks on a Mac Powerbook, using Firefox 39.0.

Kickoff, I began getting letters that I needed Wink Player to view this or that news video, so I installed a re-create, perhaps not from the 'best" source. then I began getting letters to the effect that it might not be OK, so I went into "tools / Add-ons / plug-ins and selected "never activate". I looked for a mode to delete this module, but could non find a way.

Then I went to the Adobe website and installed Flash Player from there. That completed and indicated that the installation was successful. But then I notice that this new version does not even show upward in the plug-ins list, and of course, it is never active, so effectively invisible.

I'1000 certain I've crossed things up simply take no idea where to begin to rectify this. Assist!!

Lastly, is the current Flash Player safe to utilise??

Thank you, MidAtlantian

How-do-you-do,

Trouble solved. Apparently Adobe Flash Player installs a plugin to Firefox that is named "Shockwave Flash", and I had disabled that thinking information technology might have been an insecure bit of software.

In any case, cheers for your efforts.

Thanks, MidAtlantian5

Hi Fred, Thanks for the proposition but, alas, this is more or less what I've been doing.

The installation is successful, but when I become to expect at the list of plug-ins, this new plug-in is not in that location, and fifty-fifty after I quite and restart firefox, when I return to the webpage that required FlashPlayer, I still get the message: "you demand to install Wink Role player to play this content." "DOwnload Flash Player now."

What am I missing?

Howdy Fred, Thanks for the suggestion only, alas, this is more or less what I've been doing. The installation is successful, merely when I go to wait at the list of plug-ins, this new plug-in is non there, and even after I quite and restart firefox, when I render to the webpage that required FlashPlayer, I even so get the bulletin: "you demand to install Wink Histrion to play this content." Did yous download flash from Adobe? Information technology could exist a simulated program.

Did you download flash from Adobe? It could exist a fake plan.

Yeah, it COULD be a simulated program, only I did download it from Adobe - from the link y'all provided, so that seems ... unlikely.

When I wait at my OS "organisation Preferences", I can run across a "re-create" of Wink Thespian. which is conspicuously very split from the ShockWave Wink that is disabled in my Firefox ... Tools......add-ons.....plug-ins.

If I click on the one in System Preferences, and ask it to cheque for updates, I get the message - after information technology links to the adobe website - "No New Updates. Adobe® Wink® Player is up to date on this organisation." Only when I endeavour to access a video in Firefox, I'm told I need to install FlashPlayer.

Hullo Fred.

Give thanks yous for your connected interest in my plight.

When I do "almost:plugins" I tin see a list of all the plugins I accept in Firefox, including the disabled "Shockwave Flash". but there is no plugin for Adobe Flash Role player. Adobe Flash Histrion does appear in my system preferences, and shows as the electric current version.

I am beginning to go the impression that I need a plugin to enable Firefox to employ Adobe Flash Player.

Also, I should probably mentioned that I am able to play these same videos in Safari.

Good to hear. Well done.

For some reason, Flash is listed as Shockwave Flash, and Shockwave is listed equally Shockwave for Director.
